100% Wild Tobala (Agave Potatorum) The wild Tobala that we use comes from the small community of San Pedro Martir (region?), about 3 hours away from Candelaria Yegole. San Pedro Martir is at an elevation of ~ 5,900 feet above sea level, thus creating a much cooler climate than Yegole.

The Tobalas that grow in the area are about 13 years old when harvested, and the pinas are about the size of a soccer ball. On average, our Tobalas yield 700 – 800 liters of mezcal from 12 tons of cooked Agave Potatorum (~44% lower yield than Espadin).
